Introduction

 

I have wide experience of aviation both on the legal side and operational side.

 

(i)                  Legal

 

Typical aviation cases include:

 

  • Urgent advice.
  • Case management.
  • Submissions to CAA on fit and proper person status.
  • Negotiations with CAA and other agencies.
  • Conducting pleas in mitigation of penalty (when a guilty plea has been entered).
  • Making applications for discharge without conviction (when a guilty plea has been entered).
  • Acting as defence counsel at trial.
  • Filing and then conducting appeals to the High Court and other appellant Courts.
  • Generally protecting clients’ interests from start to finish.

Commercial Pilot Licence (Aeroplane) (1975) and ‘B’ and ‘D’ cat instructor ratings.

Qualified Glider Pilot Certificate (issued 1969) ‘C’ cat glider instructor rating, glider towing rating. Have flown these types as pilot in command:
